Zest Car Rental acquires Clarify Car Hire website – Travel Weekly – Home

Zest Car Rental has acquired Clarify Car Hire website, describing the move as “a natural step forward”.

A statement from Zest – a UK-based independent car hire broker – said the acquisition of the Wokingham-based car hire firm Clarify strengthens its position as a “leading consumer-focused car hire platform”.

Sebastian Brickell, head of marketing at Zest, said: “We have a rapidly growing B2B agents’ scheme where we sell directly to agents, allowing them to earn commission on car rentals.

“Travel agents won’t be able to sell directly through Clarify, but they will have access to the exact same inventory at an even better rate through our Zest travel agent scheme.

“Clarify is a customer-facing B2C website that we have acquired and are now using to retail our products.”

Agents using the Zest Agents Portal can search for and filter hire cars, based on the specific needs of their customer, such as vehicle type and category; luggage and passenger capacity; and car features such as air conditioning or satellite navigation.

Rory Sexton, managing director of Zest Car Rental, said: “This is a natural step forward, bringing together two brands built on transparency and value.

“Customers will continue to enjoy clear, straightforward pricing, now with access to a wider range of trusted partners and destinations through Zest.”
