Taste and tour New Orleans with culinary bike trip – The Houston 100

“How have we missed this place?” we wondered as we bit into the sinfully delicious praline beignet from Loretta’s Pralines in the French Market in New Orleans.
We were on a culinary bike tour with Jeff Shyman, owner of Street Tour Named Desire/Confederacy of Cruisers. Jeff took us to several savory stops including a Cajun seafood market where we feasted on shrimp, corn and gumbo and the Saint Roch Market, a new food hall to taste tuna dip, ceviche and crab mac and cheese from The Salted Pearl.
Jeff’s entertaining commentary and historical information added more flavor to the tour.
