Brits are raving about an underrated European city where pints cost £3 – and it's a mere two-hour flight from the UK.
If you’re someone who loves holidaying on a shoestring, then look no further than Poland’s sixth-largest city, Gdansk.
The major seaport, situated close to Gdynia and the resort town of Sopot, is a popular stag do destination, but visitors say it makes a decent city break for those on a budget.
With a plethora of bars, restaurants, and clubs to get lost in, flights are currently going from just £14 one-way or £28 return.

According to Wise, the average price of a pint of beer in Gdansk is a staggering £3.05.
Considering cheap beer can be found for just £4.74 in the Midlands and Wales (via The Independent), this is a stellar steal.
But good value beer isn’t all that Gdansk has going for it.
Your morning cappuccino will cost the equivalent of £2.71, your afternoon bottle of vino will be £5.09 and a homemade hangover breakfast of fried eggs on toast will put you back £3.40.
If you’re looking to live a life of luxury, then the Wise calculator claims a three-course meal for two people will be around £36.62. Absolute bargain in our books.

But if it’s just a Maccies you want, then be prepared to pay £6.10 for a combo meal.
If you do decide to cash in on one of the cheap flights to Gdansk, then there’s a wealth of activities and sights to see on your last-minute city break.
These include seeing the colours of the historic Old Town, head to the Museum of the Second World War for some sobering culture, and take a trip on the popular Ferris Wheel called AmberSky.

There’s also the Madison Shopping Gallery, situated close to the city’s main train station, as well as the golden dunes of Stogi Beach to explore.
If you’re in the country for a stag do, then there are plenty of bars and pubs to hop through, as well as the four-storey nightclub, Bunkier.
