Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for the Kirkland Lake area.

There will be snow at times, heavy along with reduced visibility. Blowing snow will develop this morning and continue into this evening.

Conditions may be particularly dangerous as a sharp cold front move through this afternoon or early this evening which could produce near zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow along with a sharp temperature drop. A frontal snow squall warning may be required as the cold front draws nearer.

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm are expected as are strong wind gusts up to 80 km/h.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.
