Actor and star wrestler John Cena stars in the title role of DC Studios’ show “Peacemaker.” Fans first saw the funny yet violent antihero in 2021’s “The Suicide Squad” and recently had a cameo in “Superman.”
HBO Max is currently streaming the show’s second season, which used multiple Georgia filming locations. Here’s what was reported by Travel + Leisure:
Dallas, GA
The show used Dallas and the greater Paulding County area to shoot various street scenes, action sequences, and stunt-heavy rural chases. John Cena was spotted filming scenes without his Peacemaker uniform and in civilian clothes, “almost as if undercover.” Dallas is west of Marietta.
Fayetteville, GA
A lot of the production was staged at Trilith Studios, formerly known as Pinewood Atlanta Studios. It’s where Peacemaker’s trailer park home and futuristic lair was shot as well as several drive-by scenes and green screen scenes. Fayetteville is on the south side of the metro Atlanta area.
Savannah, GA
Another large chunk was shot in sets and at real locations in Savannah, especially for scenes illustrating an urban background. A fake burger joint was built on River Street. Filming was also seen at Forsyth Park. Near the end of production, we saw John Cena at Leopold’s Ice Cream downtown.

The first episode of “Peacemaker” season 2 was released on Aug. 21. New episodes come out every Thursday at 9 p.m.

How much does HBO Max cost?
