Salt Lake City, UT – Several areas across Utah remain under a Winter Weather Advisory as snow continues to impact travel conditions Friday morning. The National Weather Service warns that accumulation up to 2 inches could cause hazardous driving conditions, particularly during the morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, snow will continue across Cache Valley, Eastern Box Elder County, Bear Lake, Bear River Valley, and Southwest Wyoming until later this afternoon. Brigham City, Logan, Smithfield, and Snowville are among the cities affected, with a chance of precipitation lingering into midday.
In Southern Utah, areas including Escalante, Kanab, Bryce Canyon City, Panguitch, and Circleville are also under an advisory, with snow expected to ease by noon. Roads such as US-89 near Kanab and scenic routes in Bryce Canyon National Park may experience slick conditions.
The Western Uinta Basin and Castle Country, including Price, Roosevelt, Castle Dale, and Duchesne, will see snowfall through 11 a.m., making travel hazardous along major roadways.
Motorists are urged to drive cautiously, check for road closures, and monitor updates from the Utah Department of Transportation at udottraffic.utah.gov.
