BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The City of Melbourne has issued advanced notice for many areas in the city that will be closed to public travel beginning June 16.
The closures include:
Intermittent Lane Closures of Post Road, June 16-17
There will be intermittent, single lane closures on Post Road near Sherwood Boulevard on June 16 and June 17 for utility work to be performed by Pike Gas to verify utility locations.
The lane closures will alternate between the westbound and eastbound lanes during the work. The work will take place from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. on both days.

Lane Closure U.S. 1, June 17-18
The City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Department will be closing two outside northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1 / SR 5 between NASA Boulevard and Cherry Drive, in Melbourne, for debris removal.
The work is scheduled to occur Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, between the hours of 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., each day.
Maintenance of traffic will be provided to route traffic around the work area per FDOT Index # 102-613.

Lane Closure at W. Florida Avenue, June 18
The City of Melbourne Public Works and Utilities Department will be conducting repairs on a water main. The temporary closure of the westbound lane of W. Florida Avenue between Meadowridge Drive and Rachel Street will be in effect on June 18 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During this time, traffic management measures will be implemented to ensure the safe flow of vehicles around the work area during the closure.

Eau Gallie Pier to Close for Maintenance, June 18 and June 25
The Eau Gallie Pier will be closed on Wednesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 25, for maintenance.
Nighttime Lane Closure of John Rodes Blvd., June 23
The City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Department will be conducting repairs on a water main. Temporary closure of the southbound lane of S. John Rodes Boulevard, just north of Ellis Road will be in effect Monday, June 23, 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.
During this time, traffic management measures will be implemented to ensure the safe flow of vehicles around the work area.
