MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Roads leading from the Florida Keys have reopened after an expansive brush fire broke out on Thursday.
The brush fire in Miami-Dade County led to the closure of all northbound traffic on the 18-Mile Stretch of U.S. 1 out of the Florida Keys.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said that they had closed both north and southbound lanes on Thursday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. due to the fire.

Both the Stretch and Card Sound Road are critical routes to the Florida Keys.
According to Florida's Forest Service, the fire was at 150 acres overnight, and on Friday morning, it jumped to 350 acres.
Officials are urging drivers to expect disruptions in and out of the Florida Keys as weather conditions and ongoing fire mitigation efforts continue to influence traffic patterns.
Updates will continue to be provided by the MCSO until the scene is cleared and traffic can flow normally again.
Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops.
