GREECE, N.Y. — If I-390 is part of your daily commute, here’s a heads up. The New York State Department of Transportation says there will be lane reductions along I-390 in Greece starting Tuesday, July 8.
The section of Interstate 390, from State Route 104 to the Lake Ontario State Parkway in the Town of Greece, will be reduced to single lane traffic in each direction due to a paving project:
The project is planned to be finished by the end of July.
People should anticipate travel delays during this time and are advised to seek different routes. Constructions are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
Penalties and fines are issued when caught speeding in Work Zones.
Two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver’s license.
If you receive a work zone speeding violation under the Automated Work Zone Speed Enforcement (AWZSE) program, you can pay it online, by mail or by phone.
A Notice of Liability will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle within 14 business days if the owner is a resident of New York State.
These fines are subject to late fees. Failure to pay fines may result in a registration hold placed on the vehicle.
