SEATTLE — Summer is the time where everyone is hitting the road to travel which is why AAA Washington recently partnered with three of the most iconic music venues to bring members a very cool experience as they travel to see some of their favorite artists.
Summer is the time when everyone is hitting the road to travel which is why AAA Washington recently partnered with three of the most iconic music venues to bring members a very cool experience as they travel to see some of their favorite artists.
“The three iconic outdoor amphitheaters in the region, The Gorge, White River and The Cascades, are where we have our partnership,” said Megan West, Chief Experience Officer at AAA WA. “We’re really excited to offer some member specific benefits at those venues, including things like Fastpass merchandise lines, some access to some VIP seat upgrades, and even some artists meet and greets.”
AAA WA also created a unique Cool Down Zone at The Gorge – a giant shipping container outfitted with misters, coolers, swag and music where concertgoers can cool down between performances.
“We just wanted to elevate that experience a little bit,” West said. “So, take a moment, stop by. You can cool down before the show starts, or really any time during the whole event. It’s an opportunity to just elevate that concert experience. We also are giving away some free memberships there too.”
In addition to their activations at music festivals, AAA WA also has a special Summer Road Trip Sweepstakes.
“We would love the whole region to be just excited about road trips and concerts as we are, especially at these three venues” West said. “So, we’re offering, a chance to win tickets to both Watershed Music Festival and Dave Matthews over Labor Day, including some overnight hotel lodging, some gas cards and some other perks for those winners too.”
For over 120 years AAA has been focused on their members and their interests which is why they chose to center their summer campaign around music festivals.
“One of the things we know as we try to find that next generation of members is that they’re really a generation of experiences. Three out of five millennials and Gen Z last summer traveled over 50 miles for a concert,” West said. “With that in mind, we know the need and the demand is there. So we’re looking for new and exciting ways to engage that next generation of members. Music’s a perfect, sweet, perfect way to do that.”
There’s nothing worse than your car breaking down when you’re on the way to your favorite concert. So, AAA WA has a few tips for ensuring safe travel on the road.
“It’s better to make sure your car is good to go then find out a little bit later when you’re trying to have fun,” West said. “We have an approved auto repair network so members can often receive discounts on labor. Know that we’ve trusted and vetted those service providers that they have the same standards we do.”
“People usually forget that again until it’s too late. As a member, we will come replace your battery for you wherever you’re at,” West said. “So, proactively if you’re about to hit the road and that battery may be on that four year mark, give us a call and we’ll help replace it for you.”
“If you’re a AAA member and someone else is taking you on the adventure, you’re covered too,” West said.
AAA is focused on every aspect of their members safety, even insurance.
“We have local agents who know this market in this region and can help you get the right policy for you. We have travel advisors and experts for adventures near and far,” West said.
