College isn’t just where you learn, it’s often where you live, so it’s important to make sure the campus is a nice one.
Last month, Travel + Leisure released its 2025 list of the ‘Most Beautiful College Campuses in the U.S.’ The popular magazine’s editors identified campuses that not only attract prospective students and their families, but also tourists who marvel at the “perfectly manicured lawns, stunning architecture, and noteworthy landmarks.”
Several were in the south, but only one in Georgia.
What is Georgia’s most beautiful college campus?
Berry College’s campus isn’t just the prettiest. At 27,000 acres, it’s reportedly the world’s largest. Here’s what Travel + Leisure editors said about it: “This rural college in Mount Berry, Georgia, holds a lofty record: It’s the United State’s largest contiguous college campus, with more than 27,000 acres of fields, lakes, forests, and mountains. Berry makes prime use of its setting, too, with numerous reflecting pools and fountains situated near its beautiful English Gothic-inspired buildings like the Ford Dining Hall, Ford Auditorium, and Mary Hall, made possible by the school’s largest benefactor, Henry Ford.”
