Mexico is a fantastic vacation destination offering gorgeous beaches, sprawling resorts, fantastic water activities, and so much more. Plus, it’s close to the U.S., so it’s easy to get to from most of the country. It’s also a destination that’s ripe with amazing package deals.
These deals, which consist of a flight and a hotel stay, can often save a lot of money over booking those elements separately — we’ve found that a package often costs less than booking just the hotel separately (scroll down to our price comparison section to see the numbers)!
In this post, we’ll go over 10 of the best websites that you can use to find Mexico vacation packages and deals. We’ve done the research, so you should be able to quickly find a great vacation package that fits your budget.

Costco Travel is a great place to search for Mexico vacation package deals. Yes, you’ll need a Costco membership to book, but it can be worth it for the savings and bonuses you could get.
Take this example we found for a stay at JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa. In addition to a $99 Costco shop card, this deal comes with a $50 spa credit, a $50 food and beverage credit, and free dining for kids 11 and under. Those extra benefits far outweigh the cost of a basic $65 Costco membership.
Even better, with the $130 per year Executive membership, you’ll earn 2% back (up to $1,000) on your Costco purchases, including Costco Travel purchases. You could earn enough bonuses from just 1 trip to pay for either level of Costco membership and then some.
Bottom Line: What’s great is that while you’ll need a Costco membership to purchase a travel package, you can search Costco Travel without a membership. That means you can do price comparisons to see if you’re saving money before having to pay for a membership. For more information on how it all works, check out our guide to using Costco Travel.
Travelocity is a popular online travel agency. As with many sites, it’s powered by Expedia, so the search functions may look quite familiar. While it may look the same, the prices can be different than what you’d find on Expedia.
You may see a note on some of your search results saying you’ll save 100% on a flight when booking this package. Generally, we’re skeptical of these claims, so we did some math to see if this was an accurate claim.
Much to our surprise, it was more than accurate! While this package deal for 2 people costs $3,105.07, the hotel cost more than the package at $3,422.37 when booked separately! The flights were $978.40 in total. If you booked the hotel and flights separately, you’d pay $4,400.77 — that’s $1,295.70 more than the package deal. Wow!
Be sure to scroll down to the bottom to see how this package price stacks up to the prices on other websites. For more information, check out our guide to booking travel and saving money with Travelocity.
Bottom Line: Regardless of what type of Mexico package you choose, always be sure to pay with a credit card that will help you earn points and perks on your vacation.

Southwest Airlines flies to 4 popular destinations in Mexico — Cancún, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos.
If you want to fly Southwest, you’ll have to search for a flight and hotel separately or book through Getaways by Southwest because Southwest flights don’t show up on any third-party websites.
The good news is that when you book through
Getaways by Southwest, you’ll earn Southwest points for your purchase! Unfortunately, you can’t use Rapid Rewards points to book your vacation, but this can still be a great option for Southwest fans.
You can do a traditional search or, if you’ve got some flexibility, you can search the best deals available. Just click on Deals > Mexico & Caribbean deals on the homepage.
While you’ll find great prices there, many of these packages are only offered on specific dates, so you may need to tweak your travel plans to take advantage of these offers.
Bottom Line: You’ll earn Rapid Rewards points on any package booked through Getaways by Southwest. However, you can’t book a Getaways by Southwest package with points. Get all the details in our guide to booking Getaways by Southwest.
Mexican vacations are one of the specialties of Funjet Vacations, so it’s a great website to explore. What’s nice is that it’s easy to search for deals in lots of different Mexico locations with just 1 click.
Funjet Vacations offers a lot of all-inclusive resorts, so you may see those at the top of your search results — just scroll down a bit if you’d prefer a traditional hotel.
During the checkout process, you’ll be able to add extras such as trip protection, airport transfers, a rental car, and even sightseeing tours and excursions.
Hot Tip: If you decide you’d rather use points and miles for your Mexico vacation, check out our guides on how to fly to Mexico with points and miles and the best Mexico hotels to book with points.
Yes, there are plenty of spots in Mexico that aren’t part of the Caribbean, but CheapCaribbean.com is still a great website to use.
If you’re not quite sure where in Mexico you’d like to go, just select Mexico from the Destinations tab on the home page to see a list of deals all over the country. You can then scroll through everything that’s available or use the filtering options to narrow your results.

Hot Tip: If you need some travel inspiration, check out these popular all-inclusive resorts in Mexico.
Expedia is a popular site for booking travel for a reason — it’s easy to use and often has great deals. You can customize your vacation package to include flights, hotel, and/or a rental car.
You’ll see many options to filter your search results, including by properties that offer free cancellation. Plus, Expedia has a great map feature if you’d like to find a hotel in a specific location.
Expedia even has its own rewards program called One Key. With this program, you’ll be able to earn and use points on eligible trips and gain access to special member pricing. This is a nice way to earn rewards when you’re not participating in a hotel chain’s loyalty program.
Orbitz is a tried-and-true online travel agency that’s easy to use and often has great deals. One of the nice things about using Orbitz is that it has its own rewards program, which comes in handy if you tend to book hotels through a third-party website. You’ll earn Orbucks on all of your purchases, which can then be applied to hotels booked through the site.
Keep in mind, though, if you book a hotel that has its own loyalty program (such as Hilton, Marriott, or Hyatt) you won’t earn points or elite night credits when you don’t book direct. Plus, any status you already have may not be recognized. If you aren’t chasing elite status or worried about collecting hotel points, that might not be an issue, but it’s something to keep in mind.
For more information, including how the Orbitz Rewards program works, check out our guide to booking travel with Orbitz.
Hot Tip: If you book a hotel that has its own loyalty program such as Hilton, Hyatt, or IHG, you won’t earn hotel loyalty points or earn elite credit for your booking with a third party. Plus, any status you already have may not be recognized.
Apple Vacations is another website that has lots of deals on Mexico vacation packages. If you’ve got some flexibility, you can scroll through the list of deals by clicking on Destinations > Mexico on the homepage. However, you’ll notice that those deals all have specific travel dates that they are valid for.
If you have set travel dates, you can use the regular search feature on the homepage.
Hot Tip: When you book a hotel through a third-party website, you may have to pay additional fees, like resort fees, at the hotel. Be sure to read all of your package information carefully, because it’s not always obvious that there may be additional charges.
Kayak is a metasearch engine that searches all of the other sites so you can quickly get a sense of where to find the best deal. It’s a very useful tool to search for flights and hotels, but it’s also a great way to find vacation packages.
Just select Packages on the home page and then you can enter a specific resort or search by city or country.
Once you get your search results, you’ll be able to see which website is offering each deal. Then you’ll be transferred to that website to finish your booking.
Whenever you decide to book a flight, hotel, or vacation package through Kayak, always check the price on the mobile app. Often you’ll find mobile-only deals and Kayak’s new loyalty program, KAYAK Explorer is only available through the app.
Hot Tip: For more information, refer to our complete guide to using Kayak to book travel.
United Vacations is a great place to search for Mexico vacation packages, especially if you’re a fan of United or live near a United hub. While the downside of this site is that you’re limited to United flights, that can be a positive for some.
Like many other sites, you can add extras such as trip protection and even sightseeing excursions during the check-out process. The unique thing about booking through United Vacations is that when you provide your MileagePlus number at booking, you’ll earn United miles on your vacation package.
Plus, United Vacations has deals on hotels and resorts in 25 different locations in Mexico. If you’re not sure exactly where you want to go, start at the dedicated Mexico vacations page for some ideas and to search for featured deals.
Bottom Line: You’ll earn United MileagePlus miles when you book a vacation package through United Vacations, but you can’t redeem miles for any part of your trip.
Now that we’ve gone over some of the best websites to use, let’s take a look at the numbers. We priced out 2 different vacation packages on each website to see which one offered the best deal. Here’s what we found.
Package #1: 7-night stay for 2 people at JW Marriott Los Cabos plus roundtrip flights between Chicago (ORD) and Los Cabos (SJD)
Package #2: 7-night stay for 2 people at Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa by AMR Collection All-Inclusive plus roundtrip flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Cancún (CUN)

As is the case in most of these price comparisons, the results vary quite a bit. As you can see, there is no single website that always has the best deal. Funjet Vacations had the cheapest price on the Los Cabos package, but one of the highest prices on the Cancún package. Kayak had the lowest price on the Cancún package but was in the middle of the pack for the Los Cabos package.
However, when you compare these prices to the price of booking the hotel and flight separately, all of these packages saved money. In the first package example, if you were to book the JW Marriott Los Cabos directly it would cost $3,324.59! That’s more than any of the package deals and doesn’t even include a flight!
The cost of the hotel in package #2 if booked separately was $3,415, which is close to what you’d pay for a package, just without the flights.
The lesson here is twofold. First, you’ll most likely save money by booking a package deal. Second, there’s no one website that will always have the best price, so you’ll need to check out a few options before you book.
Mexico is a perfect destination for a beach vacation and there are lots of websites offering great package deals to the country’s most popular spots, including Cancún, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta.
While you can often save money by booking a package deal versus a flight and hotel separately, there’s not a single website that always has the best prices. When you’re ready to book, price out your trip on a few different sites to see where you can get the best deal. If you start with some of the websites we discussed, here you’re sure to find a great vacation package that will save you money.
To get the best deal on a Mexican vacation, try looking at package deals that include a hotel stay and flights. Booking a package often saves a ton of money — sometimes it’s even less than booking just the hotel. You can also use online travel agencies or metasearch engines such as Expedia, Funjet Vacations, or Kayak to price out the best package deals.
The cost of your Mexico vacation will depend greatly on what type of hotel or resort you book. You can find everything from budget accommodations to luxury resorts that will suit just about any budget. Use a metasearch engine such as Kayak to price out a couple of different options to get a sense of what you can expect to pay.
While a vacation package isn’t always cheaper, our research has revealed that more often than not, it’s cheaper to book a package deal including a flight and hotel stay. Be sure to price out your trip on a few different websites before booking to make sure you’re getting a deal that works for you.
There are so many places to find vacation packages for your trip to Mexico that it can be overwhelming. We’ve picked out 10 that consistently offer great deals, so any of these sites would be a great place to start:
