WHAT WE’RE TRACKING:
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Snow will end by mid morning Wednesday. Conditions turn cold and breezy with temperatures in the lower to mid 20s and northwesterly winds gusting up to 40 mph. There will still be slick spots through today and especially untreated areas going forward because of the dangerous cold that is in the forecast to follow this system.
EXTENDED FORECAST: There will be a small chance of snow Thursday night into Friday, but any snowfall will be light. By the weekend, we have another ALERT DAY in the forecast, but this time for bitterly cold temperatures as wind chills are expected to drop into the negative teens (maybe negative 20s) Saturday and Sunday mornings, with afternoon wind chills likely staying around zero at best.
