GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Severe storms threaten the southeast this weekend, which would mean some rough weather at some popular destinations.
Storms will erupt across parts of Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday along a strong cold front. There will be a lot of wind energy, so damaging straight-line winds and tornadoes are going to be a concern.
If you are traveling west on Saturday, watch out for dangerous storms along the Gulf coast and all the way up to Atlanta by Saturday night.
Sunday morning the storms will roll through the Upstate, then hit the midlands and coastal portions of the Carolinas. The threat will be slightly lower on Sunday, but some damaging wind and a tornado can’t be ruled out.
