The Icon of the Seas has been operating out of the Port of Miami in Florida since January 2024.
But in Royal Caribbean’s plans for 2027 and 2028 trips from the Sunshine State, it’s nowhere to be found, Travel Host reported.
This doesn’t mean the cruise line is dropping the colossal 7,600 passenger ship from its roster for good.
According to Travel Host, the company has been considering expanding its business to Galveston, Texas, which is the fourth most popular cruise home port in the US.

Earlier this year, Royal Caribbean President Michael Bayley confirmed that one of its Icon Class ships would move to the Texas port.
However, he didn’t confirm the exact liner that would be moving.
There’s also a possibility that an incoming fourth Icon Class ship could replace the Icon of the Seas in Florida.

The Icon of the Seas boasts a dramatic Category 6 waterpark, a massive glass dome for performances, and an ice-skating rink.
It’s a stunning 1,197 feet long, cost $1.79 billion to build, and has 20 decks.
In August, a viral video appeared to show a water slide bursting into pieces on the deck.
