As Royal Caribbean’s newest floating behemoth prepares to enter service next year, the company has unveiled an array of dining experiences plus the main stage show that cruise passengers can enjoy while sailing on Legend of the Seas.
The company’s third Icon-class ship, which arrives in Fort Lauderdale next November, will feature 28 dining options — a tally greater than the number on both Icon and Star, Legend’s sister ships. Highlights include the Hollywoodland Supper Club and an immersive railroad-themed dining experience.
Guests can also enjoy the Broadway hit Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” while sailing on the new megaship.
“With Legend of the Seas, we are bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet as we continue to push the boundaries with more of what guests know and love,” said Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean’s president and CEO, in a news release.
The Hollywoodland Supper Club is an intimate dining venue that takes its inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood, complete with “sultry jazz,” gourmet bites and cocktails. The multi-course meal takes diners on a cinematic journey from 1910 to the 1950s. Variations of this concept can be found on Icon as The Empire Supper Club and on Star as The Lincoln Park Supper Club.
Royal Railway – Legend Station is similar to the immersive dining concept introduced on Royal’s Utopia of the Seas. Diners can travel along the ancient Silk Routes by train, following the travels of explorer Marco Polo, during an experience that pairs entertainment and technology with a five-course meal.
Cruise passengers familiar with Royal’s other Icon-class ships can find recognizable repeats in the dining lineup, including the AquaDome Market, Surfside Eatery, Basecamp, Chops Grille, Izumi and Hooked Seafood. Fan-favorite bars making an appearance on Legend of the Seas include jazz club Lou’s, the popular dueling piano bar and the Swim & Tonic swim-up bar.
In the entertainment lineup, guests can see ice skating shows in Absolute Zero or catch high divers, aerialists and dancers putting on a show in the AquaTheater.
Around the ship, other Icon-class staples will feature prominently on Legend, including the Category 6 waterpark, the Crown’s Edge skywalk and zipline, mini golf, the FlowRider surf simulator and the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall. The array of pools will also be similar to the other two Icon-class ships with the adults-only Hideaway infinity pool, the kid-friendly Splashaway Bay and the large Royal Bay pool.
After its Mediterranean debut next summer, Legend arrives in Fort Lauderdale in November 2026 to sail 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries. Many sailings include a visit to Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Last month, Legend of the Seas got its first taste of water during a float-out ceremony at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. Right next door, the company began construction on Royal’s fourth Icon-class ship, which has yet to be named.
The cruise line has plans for a fifth Icon-class ship slated for delivery in 2028. Meyer Turku has built 25 ships for Royal Caribbean since the 1990s, according to Cruise Critic. In addition to the three Icon-class ships that are confirmed, Royal Caribbean has the options to build a sixth and seventh ship in the class if it chooses to do so. Meanwhile, the company has a seventh confirmed Oasis-class ship in development.
