Royal Caribbean has officially cut the ribbon on its newest destination experience, and it is about to change what a beach day looks like in The Bahamas.
Royal Caribbean marked the opening of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island with a ceremony that brought together cruise executives, Bahamian government leaders, and local community members on one of Paradise Island’s most iconic stretches of sand.
The event underscored the scale of the project and the partnership behind it, with officials from The Bahamas joining Royal Caribbean leadership to celebrate what the company calls a first-of-its-kind beach club experience in the destination — and part of a bigger plan for regional destinations.
What It Is
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is Royal Caribbean’s newest exclusive beach destination, designed as an all-inclusive day experience that blends Bahamian culture, cuisine, and hospitality with the cruise line’s signature approach to design and service. From the location itself to the staff and food program, the beach club is meant to feel rooted in The Bahamas while delivering a polished, resort-style beach day.
More than 150 invited guests attended the ribbon cutting, including Prime Minister Philip E. Davis, Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, and Royal Caribbean Group Chairman and CEO Jason Liberty, alongside Royal Caribbean President and CEO Michael Bayley.
Why It Matters
The opening represents a deeper push by Royal Caribbean into destination-based experiences in The Bahamas, following the success of its private island concepts while moving closer to Nassau’s tourism core. For Paradise Island, it adds a new, high-profile attraction that expands the island’s appeal beyond traditional resort stays and day trips.
Officials highlighted the collaboration between the cruise line and local partners, positioning the project as both a tourism draw and a contributor to local employment and cultural visibility.
What You’ll Find
The beach club is built around multiple distinct zones designed for different travel styles. Party Cove anchors the high-energy side of the experience, home to The Floating Flamingo, billed as the world’s largest swim-up bar. Chill Beach offers a calmer atmosphere with shaded loungers and open shoreline, while Family Beach is designed for multigenerational groups looking for shared space and activities.
Throughout the club, guests will find Bahamian-inspired food and drinks, locally influenced design elements, and service delivered by Bahamian staff, creating what Royal Caribbean describes as a beach day that can be shaped to fit any mood.
Royal Caribbean says additional details on day passes and access options are available directly through the cruise line as the destination begins welcoming visitors
What’s Next
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is the first in Royal Caribbean’s new Royal Beach Club Collection, a growing portfolio of land-based destinations designed to complement its private islands and onboard experiences. The cruise line has already confirmed a second beach club, Royal Beach Club Cozumel, scheduled to open in Mexico in 2026. That project will bring the same all-inclusive beach-day model to Cozumel, with expansive beaches, multiple pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, and food and drink inspired by local Mexican flavors.
Beyond the beach club concept, Royal Caribbean is also expanding its destination footprint in Mexico with Perfect Day Mexico, a large-scale private destination planned for the Caribbean coast later this decade. Together, the projects signal a broader strategy to anchor cruise itineraries with immersive, purpose-built beach experiences that reflect each destination’s culture while delivering a consistent, high-energy Royal Caribbean experience onshore.

The first thing that strikes you on Turner’s Beach is how little noise there is competing with the water. This is a vibrant, dynamic beach — but only when I’m describing the color. Otherwise it’s as calm as it is turquoise. No engines. No music from the next property. Just the sound of the Caribbean […]
The Dominican Republic is on pace for the strongest December in the history of its travel and tourism industry, led by a surge in air arrivals that is setting new records across the board. And it could pave the way for the highest number of annual visitors in the country’s history. Tourism Minister David Collado said the […]
On St. Maarten, the beach bar is usually a pay-as-you-go affair — a chair, a bucket of beers, maybe a grilled fish sandwich when the mood strikes. Big Bastard’s quietly turns that familiar rhythm on its head. Right on the sand in Simpson Bay, the irreverently named beach club has introduced something you almost never […]
Curaçao is a vibe right now, with buzzing hotels, visitors flocking and an indescribable energy. But it has also quietly become one of the Caribbean’s most complete resort destinations. Along its southern coast, beaches shift from calm, reef-protected swimming coves to wide-open stretches framed by limestone cliffs. Inland, plantation houses, botanical gardens, and vibrant neighborhoods […]
