The long wait is finally over as Oasis reunited for their highly anticipated tour in Cardiff on Friday night. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher performed in front of thousands of fans at the first of two gigs in the Welsh capital. Oasis have taken to the stage once again on Saturday night at the Principality Stadium and will then travel to Heaton Park in Manchester for five performances on July 11, 12, 16, 19, and 20.
The brothers will then head on to the rest of the UK leg of their reunion tour, which includes performances at London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Noel was reportedly spotted by a fan at Cardiff Central station ahead of tonight’s gig. Fans are already queuing outside the Principality Stadium hours before the gates open, and we will be bringing you all the latest updates from the gig, including the build-up outside and the latest on setlist rumours, support acts, and news from inside.

Oasis fans have clashed online after one fan shared a snap of people sitting down during hit song Cast No Shadow.
The fan scanned the crowd with her camera, as many people in the crowd appeared to use the slower song as a chance to to have a rest and sit down.
The fan penned over the video: ‘Why is everyone sat down – this is who you lost tickets to btw’, along with a crying face emoji.
She divided fans as one replied: “Why is no one singing?” as another raged: “I wasn’t sat down. Stood up singing loud and proud as everyone should have been for the struggle it was to get tickets.”
Another disagreed, saying: “Because they’re original fans and our backs are shot to pieces.” Another agreed: “I would be seating too – appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn’t the only way to enjoy it.”
When and where is Oasis’ next gig?
Where: Heaton Park, Manchester, UK
When: Friday 11 July
All tickets for the show are sold out.
Noel Gallagher’s ex-wife Meg Matthews has revealed why she left the opening night of Oasis reunion tour early after reports she “walked out” before the band performed Wonderwall. Noel famously wrote the song for Meg in 1995 two years before they were married.
Taking to her Instagram stories she uploaded a statement which read: “I just want to put it straight as the f****** tabloids always twist everything.
“I left before the encore to get to my car. I have left hundreds of stadiums at the end (of the show) in my life, and it’s been carnage.
“And yes, i heard Wonderwall loud and clear outside thank you. I was not being rude or bored.”
Liam and Noel Gallagher are said to be ensuring nothing shatters their famously delicate relationship by staying in separate hotels on tour.
While it hasn’t been confirmed where the brothers stayed it was reported Noel checked into the Park Gate Hotel in Cardiff city centre ahead of their first reunion shows in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Meanwhile a police escort of four officers on motorbikes was seen leaving the five-star Celtic Manor resort fuelling speculation Liam had chosen to hole up there during the shows.
Both hotels are part of the Celtic Collection franchise.

Glastonbury organiser and booker Emily Eavis was spotted watching Oasis from the VIP seats at their Cardiff gigs leading to speculation she is hoping to land them for the festival in 2027.This would be the earliest they could perform as there is no festival in 2026 while the farm has a fallow year.
Oasis fans who missed out on tickets for the band’s long-awaited reunion shows are now facing sky-high resale prices – with some sellers asking as much as £6,000 for a pair, reports the Daily Record.
Tickets for next month’s gigs at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium are being listed on secondary sites for nearly six times their original value.
Viagogo is currently advertising seats for the August 8 concert at an eye-watering £3,132 each. The tickets – for Section East 11, Row D in the Zone East Lower Tier – originally cost just £462, meaning fans are being charged a mark-up of almost 600 per cent.
Rival resale platform Vivid Seats is also offering tickets for the final Edinburgh show on Tuesday, August 12, with some priced at £2,336.
The inflated prices have sparked outrage among fans, many of whom missed out during the initial ticket release and now face a tough choice: pay the premium or miss the show.
An Oasis superfan has shared his experience of the band’s long-awaited reunion at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Chris and his wife Abby travelled from Bristol, calling the journey a “rolling party” filled with fans blasting Oasis hits and sharing drinks. The electrifying atmosphere continued as thousands celebrated the Gallagher brothers’ first show together since 2009.

Then, through the lights and cheers, two brothers emerge—hand-in-hand. One howls, “Hello, hello, it’s good to be back,” while the other launches into a storm of grunge-glam guitar. The crowd erupts. The energy is electric. It’s as if Caesar himself had returned in triumph.
After months of speculation, fan demands, and a media whirlwind, the most anticipated rock reunion of a generation finally takes centre stage. And this isn’t just hype—it’s reality.
Very few acts could pull off a comeback of this magnitude. Could The Smiths pack out seven Wembley Stadiums in a flash? Or a fully reunited Pink Floyd? Even Led Zeppelin? Such dreams feel far-fetched. But tonight proves that this reunion isn’t just a moment—it’s a milestone.
When asked about the concert, the 43-year-old joked it was “alright”. However, she revealed she had watched the brothers at both Cardiff gigs, declaring: “It’s the greatest show I’ve ever seen. The love and the nostalgia and the joy, it’s like saving the world.”
That’s a wrap on the opening night of Oasis’ reunion tour.

The brothers can enjoy a short break before they embark on a five night residency at Heaton Park, with gigs on Friday, July 11, Saturday, July 12, Wednesday, July 16, Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20.
Concluding night two in Wales, the brothers belted out their iconic hit Wonderwall before ending on Champagne Superova.
After thanking fans for their support, Liam confessed: ” I know we’re hard work!”
The brothers then shared an emotional hug before walking off the stage.
Fans were delighted when Oasis announced they were reuniting for the first time in 16 years.
The band’s lengthy hiatus was largely due to the bitter feud between the two brothers. However, once they finally patched things up, they decided to head back on the road.
During tonight’s show, Noel paid tribute to their guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs after they returned for an encore.
He told the crowd: “On guitar, if it wasn’t for him, none of this would have happened!”
Those standing immediately cleared a path as the medical team entered and flashed red warning lights.
The brothers have left the stage as their show is almost over – but an encore is certainly expected.
It was believed the brothers were sticking to the same set list as Friday night, however, Liam treated fans to a little something extra during tonight’s show.
The singer performed The Beatles hit Octopus’s Garden, something he used to do when the duo toured previously.
After he belted out the 1969 track, it was onto Live Forever.
Liam and Noel are reportedly residing in separate hotels while they stay in Wales.
It is believed their hotels, located outside the city, are around 30 minutes from each other.
“Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space,” a source said. “They’re happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way.
They added to The Sun that Liam “wants eight hours of sleep every night and is avoiding boozing and partying altogether”.
Before launching into Half The World Away, Noel announced: “This is for the Royale Family!”
The song was used as the soundtrack to BBC series, The Royle Family, which ran from 1998 to 2012.
The singer has made it clear he is not a fan of the real royal family, branding it “farcical” and claiming that it’s “dwindling like religion” in 2022.
Liam briefly left the stage as Noel performed Talk Tonight.
In the VIP section, Noel’s daughter Anaïs could be seen singing along to his 1995 track, while his girlfriend Sally was spotted waving her hands in the air as she supported her partner from the crowd.
Speaking to the crowd, Liam asked everyone to turn around with their backs to the stage and put their arms round each other.
However, he made it clear: “I’m not one of them guys who says ‘Put your hands up in the air and wave them like you just don’t f***ing care’ and all that b*****ks or ask you to do the Mexican wave and s**t like that.”
The duo then launched into their next song, Cigarettes & Alcohol.
After performing Some Might Say, Liam asked: “Do we have any Cardiff glue sniffers in the house?”
The 70,000 person audience responded by chanting “Freedom”.
Liam made the same joke the night before as he told someone in the crowd: “I see you’re still on the glue down here then?”
The audience went wild as Oasis returned to the stage for their second night in Wales.
Just moments after stepping onto the stage, Noel became emotional as he watched his brother sing.
Fans were also treated to a montage of headlines and tweets about the reunion as they were introduced.
Just before the final song of his set at the Oasis show in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Richard Ashcroft took a moment to address the crowd with heartfelt words.
“We’re in the centre of the universe right now. We are all family here. Music is power!” he declared, his voice echoing through the packed arena.
With the crowd already buzzing, he added with a grin, “No more big speeches tonight,” before launching into a soaring performance of Bittersweet Symphony.
Noel’s girlfriend Sally Mash was seen in the VIP section of the Principality Stadium as she watched support act Richard Ashcroft before Oasis’s performance.
While the musician has kept his relationship out of the spotlight, he shed light on their romance during an appearance on the Matt Morgan podcast in April 2024, branding his partner a “good woman”.
He added: “I’ve punched above my weight several times in my life, and I think if you can make a girl laugh the battle is more than won.”
Support act Richard Ashcroft paid tribute to Oasis as he took to the stage for the second night in Cardiff.
The Verve frontman, 53, told the crowd: “Last night confirmed the greatest rock n roll band in the world is Oasis.”
Oasis fans were left grumbling over pint prices during the band’s long-awaited reunion gig in Cardiff.
Before the music started, many stopped for pre-drinks, only to find pints around the stadium selling for as much as £8.20.
Even nearby Wetherspoons pubs hiked their prices by up to £2, with the chain confirming to The Sun that three Cardiff venues raised costs due to extra staffing and security requirements for the police-designated “event day.”
Oasis aren’t set to perform for another two hours but Principality Stadium has already filled up with eager fans.
Concert goers were left furious after their water bottles were confiscated by security.
They are now being encouraged to purchase lager at £7.70 per can from a tout walking through the crowd.
A thrilled Vernon Kay shared his thoughts on Oasis after attending the gig last night.
He told the Mirror: “It was everything that you expected it to be. No, I’ll rephrase that, It was everything that you wanted it to be.
We expected greatness, and we got fantastic. It was a gig of a lifetime, especially I think for all those people who have just got into Oasis.
“It was just a great gig, hit after hit after hit. The atmosphere was really positive. And I’ve been saying on the radio that if the weather is great, this Oasis tour is really going to elevate the mood of the nation and the majority, I think all of the reviews have been fantastic, and rightly so. Oasis are back and long may continue.”
Oasis fans were fuming after the Gallagher brother taunted the crowd about ticket prices.
Liam asked: “You having a good time, yeah? Is it worth the £40,000 you paid for the ticket?”
But fans were less than please with the controversial quip as they shared their fury on X.
One wrote: “Yeah. Hilarious. Ripping the fans off.”
Another raged: “And there you have it, as far as Oasis are concerned ripping off their fans with b******* ticket prices is just a joke.”
Someone else said the brothers have “become everything they used to despise”.
There are around a dozen police officers and more on horses surrounding the Principality Stadium ensuring the safety of fans as they head inside.
Meanwhile, the streets around the stadium are filled with people in Oasis T-shirts singing Some Might Say.
Cardiff has been hit with more travel chaos as delays continue on the M4, as debris led to the closure of one lane of the M4.
A lane on the westbound carriageway is currently closed between Junction 26 and Junction 27. Traffic officers are in attendance at the scene.
Despite fans praising the support acts for their stellar opening night performances, Liam and Noel were criticised for choosing well-established acts over lesser known stars to warm up the stage before them, with many disappointed fans believing the Oasis reunion tour was the perfect opportunity to display fresh talent.
One previously said: “No offence at all to Cast or Ashcroft, but there have been great musicians and bands since the ’90s. You could have done as Blur as did at their first Wembley show last year and given newer, lesser-known or local artists a chance at those massive venues as opening support.”
The same as last night, doors to the Principality Stadium will open at 5pm, with support act Cast taking to the stage at 6pm.
Richard Ashcroft will perform to the crowd at 7pm before Oasis return to the stage for their second night in Wales at 8:15pm.
Tonight’s curfew is 10.30pm.
The first Oasis pop-up shop has opened in Manchester, with others soon to follow in Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Dublin.
However, those who are hoping to get their hands on some Oasis merchandise have been recommended to book a ticket to visit rather than just pop in due to how busy the shops are expected to get.
Fans will be able to take home exclusive vinyl pressings not available elsewhere, as well as a huge range of merchandise that is not available from usual suppliers.
Some Oasis fans were left gutted as one of the band’s most famous songs was missed off the setlist.
Their 2005 hit song Lyla was missed off, as one fan said: “Lyla would have been the biggest sing-along in history.”
Another added: “Take out Bring It On Down for Lyla and it’s perfect.”
Oasis fans have issued an urgent message to those with standing tickets heading to the Principality Stadium tonight.
The band are giving away 4,000 wristbands for the golden circle – free of charge.
They tweeted: “Not a drill. Go to the entrance near Angel Hotel ASAP.”
One of Liam’s old tweets has resurfaced after he and Noel were seen holding hands on stage at the Principality Stadium. Liam posted: “FAITH SPIRIT AND DISCIPLINE” to which a fan responded: “Are you going to give Noel a hug on stage on the first night?”
Liam snapped back: “Eh don’t be expecting us to be holding hands and kissing n cuddling we got a gig to do and people to move no time for all that nonsense.” But the two were seen looking emotional as they held hands and high fived.
As Oasis returned for an encore following their triumphant return, Liam told the audience: “Thank you, beautiful people. This is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years. We are hard work, we get it.”
Oasis sent their 4million Instagram fans wild as they shared a black and white picture of their arms around each other on stage.
The post was quickly inundated with comments from fans as they rushed to support the brothers.

One concertgoer sparked backlash after they were filmed using Shazam to identify Verve’s classic Bittersweet Symphony while Richard Ashcroft was on stage, with one fan writing: “Did they just Shazam the national anthem? Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time.”
Another added: “Seriously! I couldn’t get a ticket because of these people.”

Noel Gallagher’s ex Meg Mathews was seen walking out of the Oasis gig just moments before they played Wonderwall, which was written for her.
A source told The Mirror: “After posting about her ex-husband for weeks, Meg Mathews had a prime seat for watching the band.
“She was in great spirits before the set, watching Richard Ashcroft with pals.”
After Oasis’ two hour set, the band came back with a three song encore which included Don’t Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, and it was then Meg decided to “walk out” and leave the gig. Noel previously confirmed the song was written for her while they were together.

Writing for NME Andrew Trendall said: “This is all you ever would have wanted from Oasis in 2025: they look cool, sound f****** amazing, and they want to be here. The truth is Liam’s voice hasn’t sounded this good in 20-odd years.”
Meanwhile Mark Sutherland wrote in Variety: “Oasis were reunited in every sense of the word. And based on tonight’s comeback, you’ll want to be there when they are flying this high.”
Anais Gallagher appeared to enjoy her father’s show posting a pictu to Instagram showing her with her arm raised in the air and her eyes closed as she enjoyed the music while the band could be seen on stage in the background.
Legendary Green Day drummer Tré Cool has expressed his delight at the Oasis reunion. Following their comeback show the band posted a black and white picture to Instagram which showed the brothers embracing. Commenting on it the 52-year-old star, who recently wowed UK audiences with his band playing a headline set at the Download festival, wrote: “Hello Hello it’s good to be back! Welcome back to the show fellas! You been missed.”
Oasis’ long-awaited comeback at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium has divided opinion, with some fans branding the performance “terrible” while others hailed the band’s return as triumphant.
The Gallagher brothers took to the stage on July 4, reuniting for the first time since 2009 in front of a sold-out crowd. Eager fans had scrambled for tickets on Ticketmaster, with many paying premium prices for the chance to see the iconic band live once more.
But not everyone was impressed. One disgruntled attendee took to social media to vent their frustration, writing: “What an average show in Cardiff so far. Oasis just playing song after song. No actual ‘show’ on view like proper big acts do these days. Terrible atmosphere and underwhelming thus far.”

Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has hit the stage. He addressed the crowd, saying: “So proud to be here on this historic night,” before declaring his “love” for Oasis.
He kicked off his set with the Verve’s song, Sonnet.
Richard Ashcroft is set to take to the stage next, meaning fans are one step closer to seeing Oasis perform.
The legendary singer formed the alternative rock band the Verve in 1990 and served as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist throughout the band’s lifetime.
Speaking about his Oasis support slot when it was confirmed, Ashcroft said in a statement: “As a fan from day one I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’ return was announced.
“I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work. It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy.”

A BBC special was interrupted as a celebrity guest burst into tears live on air as fans watched the countdown to Oasis’ highly anticipated comeback.
The BBC iPlayer special, hosted by Tina Daheley and Jason Mohammad, saw fans share some of their favourite memories from the group in their heyday.
Musician Fran Cutler was welcomed onto the show. She was a backing singer for the rock group in the late 1990s. As she reflected on her time with them, she became overwhelmed with emotion.
Many fans may have wondered why Oasis have chosen the city of Cardiff to kick off their 41-date Live 25 reunion tour.
When asked on social media about the decision to pick the Welsh capital, Liam Gallagher responded by saying: “Because Cardiff is the b*****”.
The first support act of the night will be Cast, who are set to take to the stage to kick things off at 6pm.
They are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 1992 by John Power on vocals and guitar, and Peter Wilkinson on bass and backing vocals.
John, 57, has shared his excitement, given that he and his bandmates will be the first people to perform on the tour. Speaking on Virgin Radio UK, he said: “Opening for the Oasis, it’s gonna be amazing. The first chord of this tour is going to be one that I hit.
“I’m just about now getting excited. I mean, the thing is, the way I live my life and look at things is, I kind of take each day as it comes and not try and look too far ahead. But there’s no doubt about it now that, you know, Friday is upon us, and the first chord of this tour is going to be one I hit.
“So it’s a quite, a you know, it’s going to be quite a moment, I think, Cardiff, Principality Stadium.”
Gates at the stadium will be opening any minute now, but as fans flood in they will still have quite the wait before seeing the Gallagher brothers on stage.
Oasis is only set to begin their set at 8.15pm, following support acts at 6pm and 7pm.
Fans at the venue might want to get their hands on official merchandise to help them remember the historical night.
They can bag themselves a reversible bucket hat for £35, Adidas branded track jacket for £90 and hoodies are selling £70. Meanwhile, T-shirts range from £35-£40.
However, BBC’s live coverage already faced sound issues on iPlayer early in the show.
Tina Daheley and Jason Mohammad were presenting from the Cardiff studio, which welcomed ex-footballer Sean Dyche and coach Ian Woan to discuss the Gallaghers’ comeback, but encountered a hitch with Sean’s microphone and he was temporarily inaudible.
The issue was fixed quickly, with the star being handed a new microphone.
Doors at the Principality Stadium will open at 5pm tonight, with Cast set to take to the stage at 6pm before Richard Ashcroft performs at 7pm.
Oasis will then finally make their return after 16 years away at 8.15pm. The curfew at the Principality is 10.15pm.
Fans who camped outside the Principality Stadium ahead of Oasis’s first gig have reportedly been given a huge surprise by the band, worth thousands of pounds.
As some fans camped overnight, hoping to get as close to the brothers on stage as possible, it was reported that their tickets were upgraded.
Lorraine correspondent Nick Dixon told the ITV show: “Some of the more passionate fans with tickets have been queuing up at different sections of the stadium since yesterday because they want to get in there as soon as the doors open at 5pm and rush to the stage.
