The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) showcased the island’s diverse tourism offerings at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2025 in New Delhi from 19 to 21 February. The event drew significant engagement from Indian travel professionals, with the MTPA pavilion welcoming around 450 visitors, including tour operators, travel agents, and media representatives. Featuring 12 key partners, including Air Mauritius, destination management companies, and hotels, the pavilion highlighted Mauritius as a versatile destination catering to luxury travellers, honeymooners, and adventure seekers.
As part of its strategy to attract more Indian visitors, MTPA is focusing on enhanced connectivity and simplified travel arrangements. Mauritius offers visa-free entry for Indian nationals, while direct flights operated by Air Mauritius, Air India, and IndiGo ensure seamless access. The destination’s appeal has also been bolstered by marketing initiatives positioning Mauritius as an ideal getaway for weddings, family holidays, and cultural experiences. With India emerging as a key source market, MTPA’s continued engagement with the travel trade is expected to drive further growth in Indian arrivals.
