MARANA, Ariz. (KVOA) – Big changes are coming to the Tangerine Road area as construction on new eastbound ramps and an intersection kicks off soon.
Starting Feb. 2, Borderland Construction will begin work on the new eastbound on- and off-ramps, as well as the Tangerine Road intersection. Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with initial efforts occurring behind traffic control devices.
During this time, speed limits through the work zone will be reduced to 25 mph.
Travelers should expect increased travel times and possible congestion due to lane restrictions. Drivers should adjust schedules and considering alternate routes.
Further traffic control measures will be implemented as the project progresses, with dates yet to be finalized.
For safety, the public is urged to comply with traffic control devices, flagging personnel and detour signs. Unexpected weather or other events may cause delays, potentially rescheduling the work without notice.
