At Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, the South Terminal will stop operating after March 31, with flights moving to the main terminal on April 1.
The airport said Allegiant and Frontier will operate out of the Barbara Jordan Terminal starting April 1.
Officials say the South Terminal is being permanently removed to make way for the New Midfield Taxiways Project.
The project is part of the airport’s broader Journey With AUS expansion effort.

Airport leaders say the new midfield taxiways are meant to improve aircraft movement and preserve airfield connectivity as AUS grows.
The airport describes the taxiways as an enabling step needed before future projects move forward.
