The current LEGO Ideas review round has grown by two, with fan-designed builds inspired by two very different modes of travel.
The record-breaking LEGO Ideas review round is still growing day by day, with two more fan-designed projects making it past 10,000 supporters in recent hours. That now puts a massive 123 sets in the running to become real LEGO sets that you can buy on shelves.
The first of the newest additions is Norders’ Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, made up of around 1,800 pieces. Based on the 1968 movie, it recreates various authentic details, such as the detailed headlamps and running lamps and even interior details like a detailed four-cylinder engine under the bonnet.
Going from a classic car to futuristic space travel, Koala Brick’s Interstellar is built using 4,650 pieces and measures 40x40x49cm (roughly the size of a 48×48 stud baseplate). To populate the sci-fi set, there are five minifigures and two robots: Cooper (in both astronaut and earth outfits), Brand, CASE, Mann, TARS, and Murph.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
