Cory Anderson, visiting Las Vegas from Georgia for the RE+MARK Convention, expressed concerns over the rising costs associated with visiting the city.
Initially planning to stay at a hotel on the Strip, Anderson opted for a rental car to avoid high Uber costs, only to find it equally expensive.
"You get hit with some things that I didn't think of, like parking everywhere," said Anderson.
"Anytime you go anywhere, it's going to be $20-$30 to get in and get out of places."
While renting a car allowed him to escape the Strip's surcharge, Anderson noted, "It's a bouncing game, but ultimately it's just not the deal that it was to come to Vegas before."
Anderson, who grew up near Las Vegas and now resides in Georgia, said he loves visiting but emphasized the need for strategic and financial planning, especially when flying.
News 3 reported a 5.7% drop in the number of people flying through Harry Reid International Airport.

"Vegas is expensive, it's not the Vegas that I remember five, six, seven years ago," Anderson said.
"I feel like there used to be more deals for flights to be able to get here. Where now, flying here is the same cost as it is to fly to LA or San Francisco. The travel's not really a deal, and when you get here, it's not a deal."
Despite the rising costs, Anderson remains hopeful that prices will decrease in the future.
"It would be hard to bring a family here. It's just everything costs extra money more than you thought, and everything takes a little bit more time to get to, and you're getting nickeled and dimed everywhere," he said.
