Reno fliers are getting two more nonstop options this summer as public charter jet service JSX adds two seasonal flights to its routes.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport announced on Tuesday that air carrier JSX is adding nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Carlsbad, California, which is located between Los Angeles and San Diego. The new routes will operate four times a week.
JSX’s upcoming nonstop flights are the latest in a list of new routes for Reno’s airports, which saw 4.8 million passengers in 2024 — its most in nearly two decades.
“Expanding air service is a top priority for us,” said Tina Iftiger, chief air service development officer for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
Formerly known as JetSuiteX, JSX describes itself as a “hop-on” commercial air service. The carrier operates as a public charter jet, which is more akin to a private jet service experience.
Instead of using the same terminals at the Reno airport that commercial airlines use, JSX flies out of the Stellar Aviation Group facility on the east side of Reno-Tahoe International Airport on 485 S. Rock Blvd., which typically serves charter flights.
JSX first started flying to Reno as JetSuiteX in 2018 before briefly leaving and then returning as JSX in 2020. The air carrier provides flight service to John Wayne International Airport in Orange County and Hollywood Burbank Airport.
JSX’s new seasonal Reno flights to Las Vegas and Carlsbad will run from June 19 to Sept. 1.
The flights will serve Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad.
The seasonal JSX flights will run four times a week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with fares starting at $259 one way.
Each flight includes two free checked bags, healthy snacks and complimentary cocktails, according to JSX CEO Alex Wilcox. For more details, visit the official JSX website.
