Jersey Shore Traffic Watch: Delays along the shore – Asbury Park Press

As the sun shines and beaches open after Thursday night’s flooding from Hurricane Erin, beachgoers are headed to the shore, causing a few delays in traffic. 
A coastal advisory for dangerous rip currents by the National Weather Service is in effect. Double red flags warning beachgoers against swimming dot the Jersey Shore. 
A right lane on the southbound Garden State Parkway Express Lane is closed after a truck became disabled around 5:55 pm. One of the three lanes is blocked south of the Jon Bon Jovi Service Area in Sayreville, according to 511NJ.org.
A 6-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway southbound began around 2:50 pm. The delay stretches from Lakewood/Airport Road in Lakewood at Exit 89C to Route 37 East in Toms River at Exit 82. All lanes are open.
A 2-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway southbound lane began around 12:44 pm. The delay stretches between the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel at Exit 116 and Route 36 in Aberdeen at Exit 116. All lanes are open.
Around noon Saturday, two minor delays along Route 35 are impeding traffic.
Weather:Rip current threat remains until Sunday after Hurricane Erin moves away
The first delay along Route 35 southbound is near the intersection of Herbert Street in Mantoloking and the second along Route 35 southbound between the intersections of Higgins Avenue in Brielle and Broadway in Point Pleasant Beach.
