Lollapalooza is a four-day music festival that features a diverse range of genres. The concept began as a touring festival in 1991, with Chicago becoming its permanent location in 2005. With the event once again around the corner, here is everything you need to know about it.

Lollapalooza will be held from July 31, 2025, to August 3, 2025, in Grant Park, Chicago. The festival tickets are available in one-day, two-day, and four-day variants, with the one-day pass starting at USD 189 and ranging up to USD 2,130. The two-day pass costs approximately USD 378. The four-day pass can be purchased at USD 415 for general admission and it goes up to USD 4,500. However, if you want to enjoy the Lollapalooza like an elite, the two-person Lolla Insider package offers an exclusive experience and costs around USD 25,000.

Regarding the travel plans for Lollapalooza, the Chicago Transit Authority and Metra have announced measures to accommodate the larger crowds expected around the festival. Throughout the weekend, Metra will run additional trains on five of its lines. According to a CTA press release, the last outbound trains will leave each Metra line with an adjusted schedule. For example, the BNSF to Aurora train will depart at 12:33 a.m. all weekend, and the Milwaukee District North to Fox Lake train will depart at 12:32 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 12:25 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Milwaukee District West to Elgin: 11:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 12:40 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. What is an event without food and beverages? Lollapalooza will also include a large number of food and drink vendors for attendees. The four-day festival will include the return of everyone’s favourite Chow Town, Desert Island, Plant Base, and Vibe Village, offering a diverse range of food and beverages, from American, Asian, German, and Italian options to sandwiches, soul food, southern cuisine, hot dogs and ice cream.

However, Lollapalooza will be a non-alcoholic experience for visitors, as festival-goers will be looking to have fun without consuming alcohol. The event will offer several experiences geared toward booze-free fun. While Lollapalooza held a similar no-booze event in 2019, this year will offer more options, including several popular brand collaborations, such as Coca-Cola Roller Ring, Liquid Death Country Club, Peace Tea’s Mad Peaceful World and Liquid I.V. Korean representation and the return of Kidzapalooza
This year’s Lollapalooza will also pay special homage to Korean culture, with a significant representation at the festival. Korean artists such as BOYNEXTDOOR, KATSEYE, Xdinary Heroes, KickFlip, Wave to Earth, and Saturday’s headliner, TWICE, will bring K-pop to Lollapalooza, showcasing unity in music at the event. Apart from the artists, the festival will also feature an ‘Imagine Your Korea’ booth for attendees to visit and explore Korean culture with the Korean Tourism Organisation.

Lollapalooza 2025 will also bring back Kidzapalooza, ensuring that people of all ages can enjoy the event. There will be a diverse range of activities for the younger audience, including a dedicated lineup with the likes of School of Rock, 23 Skidoo and The Secret Agency and The Q Brothers, as well as activities such as the Theatre Tent, the Craft Station, a Hip Hop Workshop, a Drum Zone and much more. The event will also feature a Family Services Tent, providing a safe and comfortable space for caregivers and children.
