Hiren Prabhakar has been named general manager of Fairmont Century Plaza Los Angeles, bringing more than three decades of luxury hospitality experience across five continents to one of the city’s most celebrated hotels.

Prabhakar’s journey to this role is a global one, beginning at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Mumbai and quickly moving into high-profile openings and management positions in Dubai, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Canada, and beyond. Early in his career, he joined the launch team of the world-famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai before taking leadership roles such as director of food and beverage at the Polish Business Round Table Club in Warsaw and general manager for the openings of Ibb Andersia Hotel in Poland and Barvikha Hotel & Spa in Moscow.
In Saudi Arabia, he served as resort manager during the launch of Mövenpick Beach Resort, earning the Best Specialized Resort award at the Saudi Excellence in Tourism Awards in 2011. He went on to manage InterContinental Lusaka, The St. Regis Moscow—where the hotel earned Hotel of the Year for Marriott Luxury Brands Europe in 2016—and Toronto Marriott Markham, where he was named general manager of the year in 2019. Under his leadership in Toronto, the property’s signature restaurant, LOUIX LOUIS, won Best Restaurant & Bar for Marriott Luxury Brands U.S. and Canada, while the hotel and spa received back-to-back Forbes five-star ratings in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Fairmont Century Plaza has been a fixture in Los Angeles since 1966, hosting U.S. presidents, Hollywood stars, and international dignitaries.
