The bullet train connecting Los Angeles via Rancho Cucamonga to Las Vegas is about to enter its critical construction phase. With four stops in total between Nevada and Southern California, it will officially become the country’s first high-speed train, reaching 218 mph, and will transport passengers between the two cities in about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
But now, the big question for future passengers is how much will a ride cost? According to filings submitted by Brightline West and published by Newsweek a one-way ticket is expected to cost around $119 for standard class and $133 for premium seating by 2031, the first year of full service.

Although the price might be higher than a flight, it is only slightly more than the cost of a pair of well-known brand sneakers, which averages around $110 according to RunRepeat. Beyond that, the price also reflects the significant time savings, with travel expected to take roughly half the time it would by car.
It’s important to note that these ticket prices are just estimates for now, and we won’t know the final costs until closer to the train’s official launch. Travelers should take these numbers as a rough guide rather than a guarantee, as the project moves forward, more concrete details will likely be released.
