Dengue fever
The Florida Department of Health reported an additional local transmission of dengue fever in Miami-Dade County this past week, bringing the state total to 62 from four counties- Brevard (35), Hillsborough (1), Miami-Dade (25), and Pasco (1).
44 percent of the cases typed as DENV-3 (27) by PCR, while 21 percent typed as DENV-4 (13).
Concerning travel associated dengue cases in the state, the total has risen to 415, following the six cases reported in the past week.
Miami-Dade County accounted for 261 of the cases (63 percent), while the rest were spread out over 29 other counties.
About three quarters of the cases were linked to travel from Cuba (305).

Chikungunya
While no local transmission of chikungunya has been reported in Florida this year, 250 travel associated cases have been reported, with 44 in the past week alone.
Miami-Dade County has reported the most with 159 cases. 18 other counties also reported chikungunya cases.
95 percent of the chikungunya cases were linked to travel from Cuba (238).
