Travel supplier Ombi is making a splash in the Florida Keys with luxury floating bungalows.
Located off the Key Largo shore on the gentle waters of Tarpon Basin, the new two-person accommodation promises privacy and a powerful opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature.
“More than just a place to stay, Ombi is an opportunity to step away from the ordinary and embrace a rare sense of stillness on the water,” said Ombi founder Tim Jensen, who was inspired by the idea that being among nature is the best way to recharge.
Guests meet at Snooks Bayside Restaurant & Grand Tiki Bar, where a boat transfer is provided to their retreat. Ombi’s floating bungalows sport natural wood interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a relaxing outdoor space, all providing an immersive experience.
Inside the bungalows is a plush king-size bed, a walk-in shower, and a cozy sitting nook. Ombi provides board games, Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television, indoor and outdoor Bluetooth speakers, and a first-aid kit and life jackets, as well as a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and Keurig stocked with complimentary coffee and tea.
Outside, there is a private deck with Adirondack chairs, a hammock, and a foldaway table. Ombi also equips the bungalows with kayaks, snorkeling masks and fins, and paddleboards.
There are three different package options starting at $850 per night. The basic package includes a welcome basket and drinking water, and guests are encouraged to bring food and drink with them. The premium and luxury packages include more elevated dining options, with the luxury package also offering a complimentary round-trip boat transfer per day.
