FIRST ALERT: Blowing snow and treacherous travel ahead – Upper Michigan's Source

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Plan on bringing out the snow shovel and boots as we are expecting our first round of accumulating snow.
Lake effect snow will be along the NW wind belts most of the weekend. But a strong band from the N wind belts looks to threaten your Monday morning commute. Your First Alert Weather Day starts Saturday night and now lasts until Monday evening.
Some areas are projected to see several inches now as Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for Marquette and Alger counties. But most areas will see at least 2-4 inches of snow near the shorelines. Snow does look to wrap up by Tuesday morning as the chillier air also starts to break.
