A break from the rain for a couple of days with warming afternoon temperatures. Wet weather returns this weekend.
Today: Plenty of low clouds and fog to start the day in many of our inland valleys. As we go through the day we’ll transition to a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will rebound nicely in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the upper 50s to 60 degrees in our westside valleys with lower 60s for much of the coast. In the Klamath Basin, we’ll see highs in the middle 50s.
Tonight: Some clouds will stream across the region overnight. We’ll likely see more low clouds and fog develop in our inland valleys, some areas may be rather dense. Expect another night off chilly lows, temperatures fall to the 30s in westside valleys and the lower 30s for Northern California. Eastside lows are expected in the 20s. Along the coast low temperatures will be in the 40s.
Extended: Friday will stay dry for our region with warmer afternoon temperatures. The coast and most inland valleys will see highs in the 60s. Clouds increase Friday night with rain returning to the region on Saturday. It’ll be a cloudy and damp day, especially, by the afternoon. Snow levels will be high with this system, pushing above 8,000′ on Saturday. They’ll only lower to 7,000′ or so on Sunday as showers lingering across Southern Oregon and Northern California. Precipitation amounts won’t be as significant as this last storm system.
We will dry out again for Monday with decreasing clouds. Temperatures rise early next week with above average high temperatures expected. We’ll be keeping an eye on the potential for wet weather again next Wednesday.
