How TSA PreCheck Touchless ID Works

Eligibility and How to Use the New Service
TSA PreCheck members with a Known Traveler Number (KTN) can opt in to use the new Touchless ID technology, though they must complete this process through their participating airline, not directly through the TSA. To enable this feature, passengers should visit the “travel documents” section on their airline’s website or app and enter their Known Traveler Number or passport details.
It’s important to note that this service is available based on airline participation. While an airport may offer Touchless ID, the technology’s availability depends on whether a passenger’s airline is participating. For example, San Francisco International Airport has the technology, but it is currently only available to United Airlines passengers.

As of now, TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is operational at 15 major airports across the country:
