A person has been pronounced dead at Poplar DLR station this morning.
No information has been shared about the identity of the person, and officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to their death.
A casualty was reported on the tracks at around 8am, and there remains no service between Stratford and Canary Wharf and between Poplar and Canning Town while emergency services continue to deal with the incident.
Passengers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to check live travel updates before setting off, with tickets being accepted on reasonable alternate routes.

The DLR has almost returned to normality now, with only minor delays between Stratford and Canary Wharf and between Bank & Tower Gateway and Woolwich Arsenal & Beckton due to the earlier incident.
There are also minor delays between Parsons Green and Wimbledon on the District line, and on the entirety of the Mildmay line.
The rest of the network is running with a good service.
Part of the suspended DLR service has now resumed, following the casualty on the line earlier today.
The DLR is now running, albeit with severe delays, between Beckton & Tower Gateway and between Woolwich Arsenal & Bank.
There remains no service between Stratford and Canary Wharf.
There are still severe delays on the Mildmay line between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction due to an earlier faulty train.
There have been no further updates regarding the casualty on the tracks on the DLR, where the service is still suspended between Stratford and Canary Wharf and between Poplar and Canning Town – we will update you as soon as we have more information.
The British Transport Police (BTP) has confirmed that a person has died after being hit by a train at Poplar station earlier this morning.
The casualty was reported at around 8am, and the line remains suspended between Stratford and Canary Wharf and between Poplar and Canning Town while emergency services deal with the incident.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called at around 8am today to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Poplar DLR station.
“Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries into the circumstances leading up to their death are ongoing.”
There is now no service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction on the Mildmay line while TfL fix a faulty train.
The DLR remains suspended between Canary Wharf and Stratford and between Canning Town and Poplar due to a casualty on the track. The emergency services are attending the scene.
The Bakerloo, District and Piccadilly lines are now running a good service.
Meanwhile, the temporary unavailability of train operators has resulted in minor delays on the entire Mildmay line.
The DLR suspensions are still in place while emergency services deal with the ongoing incident.
Elsewhere issues have eased – there are now only minor delays on the Bakerloo, District, and Piccadilly lines.
There is currently no service between Stratford and Canary Wharf and between Poplar and Canning Town on the DLR while emergency services deal with a casualty on the track.
Trains between Waterloo & Clapham Junction may still be delayed by up to 20 minutes, cancelled or revised.
The disruption is now expected to continue until around 12pm.
