TAMPA, Fla. — Carnival Spirit will begin homeporting in Tampa in 2027. Simultaneously, Carnival Sunshine will move to homeport in Galveston, Texas, beginning November 2027, according to Carnival Cruise Line’s 2027/28 deployment plan.
“We’re excited to introduce Carnival Sunshine to Galveston for the first time and bring Carnival Spirit to Tampa,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, in a press release on Thursday.
“This move allows us to serve more guests in Galveston where we continue to see strong demand and introduce new, longer Caribbean itineraries for guests sailing from Tampa,” Duffy added.
The service from Carnival Spirit will offer itineraries ranging from six to eight days from Tampa to visit multiple destinations in the Caribbean.
