Each destination was scored on a scale of 1 to 100, revealing the 25 most relaxing places to visit.

Australia claimed the top spot for relaxation in 2025, earning an impressive score of 73.8 out of 100. The report highlighted the country’s vast, open spaces, which have managed to avoid the over-tourism seen in other popular travel destinations. While countries like Italy face overcrowding, Australia maintains a more serene environment, with only 3.4 people per square kilometer—far fewer than Italy’s 198.3 and Mauritius’ 626. Australia’s natural landscapes, such as its national parks, wetlands, marine areas, and forests, are key contributors to its peaceful ambiance. Canada secured the second spot on the list, offering expansive landscapes with just 3.9 people per square kilometer.
