Commuters are set for serious disruption on their journeys to work this morning due to delays on London’s Underground and Overground service.
At 6:50am, severe delays were being reported on the Elizabeth and Suffragette lines.
On the Elizabeth line, there are severe delays between Shenfield and Whitechapel while Network Rail fix equipment damaged by vandalism.
There is a good service on the rest of the line. Tickets will be accepted on London Underground services by any reasonable route.
Until Friday, the Suffragette line is not running the 05:48 train from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak and the 06:24 train from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside.
The Greater Anglia line between Clacton-on-Sea and London Liverpool Street is also reporting a reduced service due to theft of signalling cables between Romford and Chadwell Heath. The disruption is expected until 8am.

A points failure between Clapham Junction and London Victoria is disrupting Gatwick Express and Southern services to and from London Victoria.
Trains will be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Nine London councils have been named in a “rich list” of the top 10 local authorities generating the biggest amounts from residents’ parking permits.
Wandsworth topped the list with an income of £38.2m between 2020 and 2024, according to freedom of information responses.
The only local government outside of the capital to place in the top 10 was Brighton and Hove City Council, which came in third.
Hackney came in fifth with £23m, while Islington came in fourth with £23.1m.

A broken rail in the Slough area means some lines are blocked.
As a result, the Elizabeth line and Great Western Railway trains running between Reading and London Paddington may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Broken down by borough and local authority, the figures show that over 18,000 roadworks were completed last year.

Major engineering work is taking place at Alexandra Parade station, closing one of the two platforms.
At Alexandra Parade, platform 1 will be closed.
Trains running through Alexandra Parade towards Bellgrove will not call at Alexandra Parade. Trains from Bellgrove to Alexandra Parade will call at platform 2 as normal.
If possible, you should use Duke Street station instead of Alexandra Parade. Duke Street is just a short distance away from Alexandra Parade.
If you are unable to use Duke Street, you should use the station help point for further assistance to complete your journey.

As a result, trains running between Shenfield and Stratford and between Shenfield and Whitechapel may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 45 minutes.
