Motorists are being warned of a number of road closures across North Staffordshire today. First up and it's the busy Blurton Road off the A50, which is shut to allow for repairs to be carried out.
That closure in is in place from 9.30am until 4.30pm today only and will run from the A50 island down towards Blurton. Meanwhile in the north of the city and Newford Crescent in Milton is shut off at its Leek New Road junction to Downfield Place.
That's to allow for more gas works to take place in the area with that scheme to be wrapped up by tomorrow . Over in Burslem and Woodbank Street is still shut off near Bournes Bank where utilities are being piped into a new housing development. That closure will be in place until March 21.
Meanwhile Station Road from Leek Road to Stoke Station is still shut as part of the multi-million improvement scheme in the area. As part of that scheme and part of College Road in Shelton is also closed until March 30.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has confirmed Blurton Road, from the A50 island 'towards Blurton' will be closed from 9.30am until 4.30pm. The local authority has urged drivers to plan their journeys in advance while the closure is in place today.
It comes after concerns had previously been raised over the state of parts of the well-used road. StokeonTrentLive reported last year how residents had complained over the condition of Blurton Road from the Longton Hall Road junction to Church Road.
The roundabout at Church Road and Drubbery Lane had previously been fixed – with community leaders asking the council to give the same treatment to the mini-roundabout at Longton Hall Road. It is not clear how much of Blurton Road is being repaired today.
