Queen Elizabeth undergoes a major refurbishment in Singapore, preparing for its 2025 cruise season to Alaska, Japan, and the Caribbean with enhanced luxury and experiences.
The Queen Elizabeth has arrived in Singapore for an extensive refurbishment in preparation for its 2025 cruise seasons in Alaska and the Caribbean.
The 2,000-guest ship, operated by Cunard, will undergo several upgrades, including renovations to its iconic spaces such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Panorama Pool Club, Garden Lounge, and The Pavilion. The goal is to revitalize these venues with a focus on enhancing tranquility and vibrancy, ensuring a refreshed and sophisticated atmosphere for guests.
One of the highlights of the upgrades is an exclusive Gala Evening menu created by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux, available to guests staying in the Grills suites. This three-course experience will feature meticulously crafted dishes that celebrate the finest culinary offerings at sea. Additionally, the Grills suites will receive interior and exterior enhancements, including new furnishings and designs aimed at maximizing comfort and luxury.

After completing its drydock refurbishment, the Queen Elizabeth is set to resume operations on March 14, 2025, with a 15-night repositioning cruise to the Far East. The voyage will take guests to Japan, with stops in Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Upon arrival in Yokohama, the ship will offer a spring season in Japan, followed by a repositioning to Seattle in mid-June.
The ship will then embark on a series of seven- to eleven-night cruises to Alaska and Canada, visiting destinations such as Skagway, Juneau, Victoria, and Glacier Bay. After a trans-Canal repositioning cruise, the ship will arrive in Miami for the 2025-26 winter season, where it will offer nine- to twelve-night cruises in the Caribbean through mid-April 2026, with stops in destinations like St. Maarten, Barbados, St. Lucia, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatán.
