Royal Caribbean International’s third Icon-class ship will take the name Legend of the Seas.
The ship is set to launch next year and will initially home port in Barcelona.
Legend will sail weekly Western Mediterranean cruises calling at ports in France, Italy and Spain from July 2026.
In late 2026 the ship will cross the Atlantic to its Port Everglades home for year-round Caribbean cruises.
It is still under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, becoming Royal Caribbean’s fourth LNG-powered ship.
The cruise line previously named a ship Legend of the Seas in the 1990s.
Bookings will open first to loyalty members this week.
Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean International said: “Legend of the Seas is the next bold step in this exciting era of vacations and the continuation of the Icon Class legacy.”
Icon Class ship Star of the Seas is the next ship scheduled to launch in August 2025.
