HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Kennesaw State men’s basketball is looking for a 2-0 week on the road for the first time in Conference USA play as the Owls face Sam Houston on Saturday afternoon in Huntsville, Texas. The game will tip off at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

A FEW NOTES
♦ The Owls come into Saturday’s contest riding high after a 22-point road victory at Louisiana Tech on Thursday night. KSU nearly pulled off a 2-0 week on the New Mexico State-UTEP trip in January, coming short by just one point in a loss at UTEP.
♦ The Owls have become accustomed to long road trips this season. Already this season, the Owls have made two separate trips to California, as well as a trip to Lethbridge, Alberta for three games in the Western Slam MTE during Thanksgiving week. In all, the Owls are set to travel a school record 21,533 miles this season
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. KSU has made a complete turnaround in 2024-25, ranking 44th in the nation in field goal defense at 40.7%, which is also fourth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank fourth in the nation in rebounding at 42.3 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 16th in rebound margin at +7.6, also the top mark in the league.
♦ KSU’s freshman class is currently the fourth-highest scoring freshman class in the nation at 39.2 ppg, trailing only Duke (49.0 ppg) and Rutgers (44.7 ppg), and South Dakota State (40.0).
