The Visit USA Expos 2025 got off to a flying start last night, with Sydney’s travel professionals diving into a jam-packed evening of networking, industry updates, and a few fun surprises along the way.
Held at The Fullerton Hotel, the event brought together over 60 exhibitors and more than 240 travel agents for a fresh, marketplace-style expo that put connections front and centre. From hands-on activations to major prize giveaways, the night set the tone for what promises to be an action-packed series of expos across the country.
The expo’s revamped format aimed to give agents more meaningful, one-on-one interactions with U.S. tourism suppliers. But it wasn’t all business—there was plenty of room for fun, too. Agents sampled espresso martinis, got creative with cowboy hat decorating, and took on a hot sauce tasting challenge.
A lucky few even walked away with major prizes, including a six-night trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, sweetened with a USD $2,000 Delta Air Lines voucher.
Emceeing the event was none other than Mike Goldman, who kept the energy high with his signature humour and quick wit.
“We were thrilled to see such enthusiastic participation from the Sydney travel community,” said Caroline Davidson, President of Visit USA. “This new format really delivers on our goal of creating valuable, one-on-one interactions while ensuring a dynamic, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.”
With Sydney setting the bar high, Brisbane and Melbourne are up next, giving agents in both cities their turn to connect with U.S. tourism suppliers and soak up the latest travel trends.
📍 Brisbane: Tuesday, 18 February, The Star Brisbane, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
📍 Melbourne: Thursday, 20 February, Marvel Stadium, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Ahead of the Sydney expo, Visit USA held its Annual General Meeting and a dedicated travel industry networking event. Special guest Dean Long, CEO of the Australian Travel Industry Association, took the opportunity to thank Visit USA and its members for their ongoing efforts in championing, educating, and supporting Australian travel businesses.
The expos are a prime opportunity for agents to stay ahead of the curve on all things U.S. travel. If you haven’t already, now’s the time to lock in your spot.
