Florida Lottery: Winning $1 million scratch-off ticket sold at Florida travel center – TCPalm

A $50 scratch-off ticket bought at a Vero Beach travel center made someone a big winner in the “$1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular” game.
The winning ticket was bought at the TravelCenters of America at 8909 20th St. near Interstate 95, according to a Feb. 6 Florida Lottery announcement on the social media platform X.
The winner, whose identity was not announced, claimed the ticket on Jan. 15, will receive a $640,000 payout and is from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, according to Florida Lottery records. The winner has not claimed the prize as of Feb. 11.
Under Florida law, Florida Lottery winners cannot remain anonymous.
The law requires the Florida Lottery to provide the winner’s name, city of residence, game won, date won and amount won to any third party requesting the information. But the law temporarily exempts the names of winners claiming prizes over $250,000 for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.
Information that can remain confidential include the winners’ home address and telephone numbers.
Records for the “$1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular” scratch-off game indicate these winning tickets have been sold on the Treasure Coast over the past two years:
