Travel advisories lifted in Erie County; Dunkirk still under an advisory – WGRZ.com

FREDONIA, N.Y. — All travel advisories in Erie County have been lifted.  The advisories were put in place for parts of Erie County south of Buffalo due to heavy lake effect snow.

In Chautauqua County, the lake effect snow bands are still active, and could bring another 12″-20″ of snow through Tuesday.  
There is still a TRAVEL ADVISORY in the City of Dunkirk.  Officials say the Department of Public Works is continuing to remove snow from city streets. 
Dunkirk officials are also asking residents to follow alternate parking regulations by moving vehicles to the alternate side by 5 p.m. daily. They say that the parking regulations are in place to help with snow plowing and emergency vehicle access to the streets.  Any vehicles violating the alternate parking regulations will have their vehicles towed.
