LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — President Donald Trump will travel to Las Vegas on Friday to hold an event with supporters the following day.
The Nevada State Republican Party said Trump will hold an event in Las Vegas on Saturday, Jan. 25. Further details have not been confirmed.
A White House pool reporter confirmed Trump will first travel to Asheville, North Carolina on Friday, followed by Los Angeles and then Las Vegas.
This will be Trump's first trip to Nevada for his new term in office. The president told reporters earlier this week that he wanted to visit the Silver State to thank people for winning November's election.
"And I'm really going to Nevada to thank them for the vote, 'cause we won Nevada overwhelmingly and that's usually a Democrat vote," he said. "And I just want to go there to thank the people of Nevada for the big- for the big vote."
Trump is first flying to North Carolina on Friday to see the damage from Hurricane Helene. He will then visit Los Angeles to see the devastation from wildfires that broke out across the Southern California region this month.
