Japan Airlines Boosts U.S. Connectivity with New Summer Routes from Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya to Chicago, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and San Diego surging Travel sector – Travel And Tour World

Japan Airlines is set to make transpacific travel between Japan and the United States more seamless with an expanded summer schedule, introducing new routes and increased flight frequencies. These enhancements aim to meet the rising demand and provide travelers with greater connectivity.
Starting May 31, 2025, Japan Airlines will launch a direct service connecting Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). This new route, part of a codeshare agreement, will provide a convenient 12-hour flight option. Tickets for this service will be available for booking beginning February 12.
To further strengthen U.S. connectivity, Japan Airlines is expanding its summer schedule with daily services from Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya to major destinations in the United States, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Chicago. The updated schedule includes:

Tokyo Narita (NRT) to San Diego (SAN): Daily from March 30 to October 25
Osaka (KIX) to Los Angeles (LAX): Daily from July 18 to October 25
Osaka (KIX) to Honolulu (HNL): Daily from July 18 to October 25
Nagoya (NGO) to Honolulu (HNL): Daily from July 18 to October 15
Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Honolulu (HNL): Twice daily throughout July

Details on whether these routes will extend into the winter season are expected to be announced by late June 2025.

As part of its summer enhancements, Japan Airlines will also introduce the advanced A350-1000 aircraft on its Los Angeles route. This next-generation aircraft features luxurious cabins, including first-class suites with double beds, private business-class suites, upgraded premium economy seating, and a comfortable economy class.
