Motorists travelling on Highway 24 can expect delays and traffic disruptions next month as a paving project gets underway.
Paving work is expected to begin July 3 and continue through approximately July 31, according to a notice issued ahead of the project.
The work is being carried out by Alberta Transportation and is expected to result in temporary reduced speed limits, lane closures and periodic traffic delays.
Officials say drivers should anticipate changing road conditions throughout the construction period and allow extra travel time when passing through the area.
Motorists are being encouraged to slow down, obey all posted signs and use caution to help protect both road crews and other travellers.
