There are currently no incidents showing that are blocking any roads or impacting any routes in the North East, according to the AA road map.
There are no major delays currently on the Tyne and Wear Metro or the East Coast Mainline.
Today will be mainly dry with bright spells for a time this morning in eastern areas, but cloud and patchy rain in the west spreads to most places by midday.
Sunny spells and isolated blustery showers will follow according to the Met Office, with widespread gusty winds developing. Maximum temperature is expected to be 21 °C.

Roadworks to close key road between Ingleby Barwick and Yarm for eight hours
Tonight, it is expected to be widely dry and bright this evening, although still windy at times.
Cloud is expected to thicken overnight with scattered showers pushing in from the west. Minimum temperature will be 8 °C.
There are some roadworks to be aware of this morning.
One lane is closed due to paving repairs on the A66(M) Westbound from the A66 Bridge Road to the A1(M) at Junction 57 in Darlington.
Drivers are being told to expect delays. The work started at 10.20am yesterday (June 11) and will end at 5am tomorrow (June 13).
