For a limited time, Arizonans can jet to Los Angeles in the lap of luxury.
Semiprivate carrier JSX announced it will offer four limited “pop-up” flights between Scottsdale and Los Angeles this summer. The all-business class flights aboard 30-seat aircraft include perks such as two free checked bags, cocktails and gourmet snacks.
The special flights are timed around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be played in 16 host cities between June 11 and July 19 across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Los Angeles will host eight matches at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
JSX’s new limited Scottsdale flights follow its announcement of its first international route from the Valley — flights to Cabo San Lucas that will begin in October.
JSX will operate four “pop-up” nonstop round-trip flights between Scottsdale and LAX Airport in Los Angeles on June 12, 13, 25 and 26.
The hour-and-a-half flights leave Scottsdale for Los Angeles at 8:15 a.m., while Los Angeles flights to Scottsdale depart at 4 p.m.
The FIFA Los Angeles schedule shows that JSX’s June 12-13 flights are timed around the USA vs. Paraguay match scheduled for 6 p.m. June 12, while the June 25-26 flights coincide with USA vs. Türkiye, scheduled for 7 p.m. June 25.
JSX doesn’t typically offer nonstop service between Scottsdale and LAX Airport in Los Angeles; getting there would require a stopover in Las Vegas. But it does offer service to Los Angeles and surrounding areas via the Santa Monica, Burbank and Orange County airports.
Nonstop flights from Scottsdale to Los Angeles start at $295 one-way.
Fares on JSX flights include two checked bags, onboard cocktails, gourmet snacks and in-flight Wi-Fi from Starlink, operated by SpaceX.
Southwest Airlines stated it added 16 additional flights nationwide for five matches:
Southwest didn’t specify which cities would get the additional flights, but it flies nonstop to Dallas, Kansas City and Seattle from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
American Airlines didn’t add additional flights for the World Cup, but it offers nonstop service to all the 2026 host cities in the United States and Mexico.
