Travel and Specialty insurance provider, Cover-More Europe, has launched a new strategic distribution partnership with Klook, a leading pan-regional experiences platform in Asia Pacific.
Through Klook Protect, the collaboration introduces a new car hire excess insurance solution for travellers booking car rentals. Customers in France, Spain, and Germany can now secure car hire excess insurance coverage directly at checkout.

Seamlessly integrated into the booking journey, this partnership marks a significant expansion of Klook’s transport vertical aligning with shifting European travel behaviors highlighted in Klook’s latest Travel Pulse consumer study*. It also extends the benefits of Cover-More Europe’s expertise in car hire excess insurance to a new audience seeking added peace of mind and protection.
The study reveals 63%* of European travellers plan to visit multiple destinations per trip, blending visits to familiar locations to never-before-visited spots. Major cities have evolved into gateways for deeper exploration, providing the starting point for further independent journeys.
This demand is backed by financial commitment, with 81%* of European travellers intending to maintain or increase their transport spending in 2026, underscoring a robust appetite for on-the-ground exploration.
